Prior to attending law school, Jason J. Schwartz earned a doctorate in biochemistry at Purdue University. While in law school at the University of New Hampshire (formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center), Dr. Schwartz served as a judicial intern in the Chambers of the Honorable Randall R. Rader at the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. After graduating from law school, he worked at some of the most well-known local, national and/or international law firms in the country, including Woodard, Emhardt, Moriarity & McNett, Hale and Dorr (now Wilmer, Cutler, Pickering, Hale and Dorr), and Perkins Coie. Although Dr. Schwartz initially practiced patent law in the field of biotechnology, medical devices and other related fields, when he opened up his own firm he wanted to expand his practice so he could help a wider variety of clients. He currently practices in the areas of immigration law, personal injury law, probate, and wills and trusts.

Dr. Schwartz is certified as a mediator by the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA), and has volunteered as a mediator for LACBA (Dispute Resolution Services Section), for the Los Angeles Superior Court Pro Bono Panel and for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Unit at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He has also volunteered for People Assisting the Homeless (PATH), and for several legal services projects of LACBA. As a result of his volunteer service, he received the Honorable Benjamin Aranda III Outstanding Public Service Award from LACBA.

Dr. Schwartz is a member of various legal organizations, including the California State Bar Association, LACBA (Immigration and Trusts/Estates section), the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Consumer Attorney’s Association of Los Angeles.
